Sales Director – Healthcare Sales UK and Ireland
We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead Getinge’s Healthcare Sales Division for the UK and Ireland.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a difference in this multi-faceted role through the development and implementation of a local sales strategy for the UK and Ireland.
With responsibility for successfully delivering Healthcare Sales, Profitability and Pricing Growth within the SSU, you will be a key part of the Senior Leadership Team, focusing on driving the business through a period of rapid change, against a backdrop of a very challenging NHS market.
You will confidently provide strong sales leadership across a broad range of products and market segments and empower your team to capitalise on growth opportunities. You will drive strong sales growth across the UK and Ireland through direct and indirect channels, with overall sales responsibility for the complete sales offerings of all healthcare product ranges, and accountable for the total healthcare sales performance in the UK & ROI.
You will further develop existing senior level relationships within the hospital sector, and leverage your strong track record of external stakeholder engagement in relevant areas with industry bodies and NHS policy makers and regulators.
This sales leader will set the tone and be a role-model to ensure that everything Getinge does is focused on putting patients first, being a great place to work, and delivering on company values.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
Management
* Responsible for leading and managing the sales team, driving tactical implementation and championing sales process and methodology.
* Work collaboratively and champion cross-functional working with service, commercial strategy and functional departments aligning on key stages of the sales process.
* Ensure sales force excellence through quarterly business planning and effective monitoring of business performance.
* Oversee the segmentation and strategy for each customer vertical and arm the business development team with the skills and confidence to achieve their growth targets.
* Ensure customer and geographical coverage in the UKI is planned and measured.
* Lead and/or support business transformation as part of senior management.
* Anticipate market trends, opportunities and challenges.
* Responsible for leading the sales implementation of new product launches.
* Create a funnel 4-5 times the size of budgeted figures.
* Identify and have input on large scale national high value tenders.
People Leadership and Development
* Energise the team towards our common vision and ownership of Getinge values and culture.
* Set the tone for the sales team: lead by example, exhibiting the Getinge values.
* Recruit, build manage and develop the capabilities of the sales team.
* Be a highly visible, deeply-engaged leader and coach for the team.
* Direct and support all sales teams to achieve agreed objectives.
* Drive strong performance with a focus on sales force excellence.
* Maintain P+L visibility across all Healthcare Sales Divisions.
* Drive revenue and share growth through commercial strategy implementation.
* Increase profitability through pricing maximization and improving processes.
* Prepare annual budget in coordination with President UKI.
Quality System duties and responsibilities
* Ensure all business is conducted in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Execution & Monitoring
* Monitors and drives delivery of project management, installations & commissioning.
* Coordinates and monitors forecasting activities.
* Keep the Group’s vision and values at the forefront of decision making.
* Perform other related duties assigned by the President UKI.
Your Experience & Skills include:
* Bachelor’s degree (minimum level) in a related discipline and healthcare capital device experience is preferred.
* Senior sales manager or sales director for 7 Yrs +, managing at least 2 multi-division and multi-region sales teams.
* Management of 15+ sales staff.
* 10 years’ industry experience with a focus on sectors including Medical Devices and Medical Technology.
* Wide-ranging relationships across the sector.
* Consultative and solutions selling experience and expertise.
* Excellent financial acumen.
* Demonstrable experience in a successful business transformation process.
* Excellent programme/project management skills.
* Quality control/Regulatory/Clinical/Medical Education credentials will be considered a distinct bonus.

* UK Requirements: Eligibility to work in the UK (essential).
* Driving Licence: Required to hold a valid UK driver’s licence.
* Travel: Ability to travel within the UK and abroad with overnight stays as required.
* Will be required to attend training courses as deemed necessary.
To help meet our goals of becoming CO2 neutral by 2025, we travel only if we must. In this role, you will be required to travel extensively within the UK, ROI and overseas to visit customers, other offices, and to support the sales process.
