Our talented, fast-moving designers are developing products and marketing collateral across multiple brands, including Among Us, Hello Kitty, Transformers, Stranger Things, Jujutsu Kaisen, and many more. As Approvals Manager, you will be responsible for tracking asset development and obtaining product approvals for toys, consumer products, and ad copy from our licensors. The ideal candidate will have experience with approval, project management, marketing, or consumer products.
This opportunity offers tremendous potential for advancement, ideal for someone seeking career development in the consumer products and toy industries.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the entire critical path of the product development process.
2. Own the creative timeline from concept to approval to meet project milestones in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
3. Manage creative submissions via email and licensor portals in collaboration with internal creatives to ensure timely design approvals.
4. Ensure internal photography of products is carried out promptly, and files are saved in an orderly manner.
5. Be the hub for status, timelines, and deliverables across creative projects and communicate overall timelines and project deliverables to the YuMe creative team.
6. Ensure that internal and external creative feedback is communicated clearly to in-house designers.
7. Notify the Creative Director and business leads of any current or impending deadline issues.
8. Work closely with designers to understand their skill sets and schedules to load balance projects properly.
9. Work with performance creative and business leads to recommend process improvements and best practices.
10. Coordinate sample delivery to licensors, retailers, and distributors from Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and London offices.
11. Assist with social media asset creation.
12. Help with tradeshow planning and administration.
13. Handle product submissions for industry award consideration.
14. Perform administrative and other duties as required.
Qualifications:
1. A college degree is required; a PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
2. Experience in project management, ideally within toys, consumer products, or licensing approvals.
3. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with precision and attention to detail.
4. Proactive, self-motivated, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills for detailed notes and feedback.
6. Ability to motivate, resolve conflicts, assertiveness, and problem-solving skills to maintain productivity.
7. Passion for toys, entertainment, gaming, animation, anime, and consumer trends.
8. Fluency in Microsoft Office is essential.
9. Skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, or project management software are a plus.
