Management Accountant
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

Search is working with a fantastic company based in Chorley. Our client is an award-winning construction company who have grown rapidly the past year and are looking to expand their finance team. This Management Accountant role is crucial to the company's progression and is a brand-new position to support the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring everything is accurate and in line with accounting standards.
2. Take charge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure effective financial planning and performance monitoring.
3. Support the Head of Finance.
4. Help prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders.
5. Support financial decision-making by providing clear insights into financial performance, costs, and profitability.
6. Monitor cash flow, reconcile accounts, and maintain financial records.
7. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the business.
8. Assist with year-end audits and work with external outsourcing to ensure a smooth process.
9. Work closely with other departments, providing financial guidance to ensure alignment with business goals.
10. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Experience:
1. 5 years of experience in a management accounting role, with a solid grasp of accounting principles and practices.
2. Part/Fully Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, AAT, or equivalent) or QBE (Qualified by experience).
3. Experience with software such as Xero and Excel.
4. Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
7. Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
