Ward 4, Hexham General is a 30 bedded, single room ward. We provide medical care and rehabilitation for patients who are elderly, often with complex health needs and post stroke.
An opportunity has arisen for a nursing assistant to join our committed team. Our team is committed to providing high quality, safe care to our patients.
The successful applicant should have an interest in elderly care and stroke. They should also have excellent communication skills.

To work under the supervision of qualified staff, support band 2 healthcare assistants and assist in support various training positions.
To assist the qualified nursing staff to deliver a high quality and safe nursing care
To provide assistance and support to patients, carers, and the extensive multi-disciplinary team
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate.
