Our client is an established ladies multi-channel fashion retailer based in the West Midlands area looking for a talented individual to join and support the merchandising team as a Merchandiser. The company continues to design and develop products for a broad range of consumers, seeking to bring the correct look and fit to customers of all ages, utilising the highest quality fabrics and raw materials to ensure that the product fits beautifully and performs well.
Job Description
1. Prepare reporting and present in weekly and monthly trading meetings.
2. Drive the trade model.
3. Review daily and weekly sales performance actions where required.
4. Review over and under performance at product level and drive trading actions to maximise potential and minimise risk.
5. Seed and manage a WSSI by accurately forecasting demand, OTB, returns, and margin.
6. Prepare trading reports/packs and make recommendations for reporting improvements across the B&M function and implement them.
7. Be fully aware of the principles and contribution to the overall business strategy, processes, and department development.
8. Build effective and open relationships with all members of the buying and merchandising team based on reliable, accurate, and relevant data.
9. Ensure a productive relationship between merchandising function and all other business areas to achieve goals, specifically with the design and accounts teams.
10. Deliver key information at the right time, to the right people, and present when necessary.
The Successful Applicant
* Currently a Junior Merchandiser, Merchandiser, or similar.
* Experience working on a fast-paced merchandising team.
* Experience working in a retail head office environment.
* Strong communication skills.
* High level of Excel data analysis.
