We are proud to be working in partnership with an innovative, modern manufacturing business based in Rotherham to recruit for a Technical Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. This client boasts an extremely healthy order book, excellent working environment and future progression plans for their employees. Responsibilities:
1. Co-ordinating and implementing foundry techniques inclusive of Titanium and air techniques as well as thermal processing.
2. Ensuring technical sign offs are completed.
3. Writing and completing Finishing Route Cards.
4. Approving heat treatment techniques obtaining support from Technical Director.
5. Attending and contributing to the Techniques meeting.
6. Assisting in developing, improving, and monitoring manufacturing processes.
7. Compile and keep up to date logs of product development and data analysis for key customer issues/trials within shared access.
8. Being the main technical lead in supporting projects for customers, inclusive of customer project meetings.
9. Directing and controlling workloads, ensuring they are manageable, and the completion dates adhered to.
10. Interpreting and presenting data to management or senior colleagues.
11. Responding to enquiries.
This role would suit someone who is currently working as a Manufacturing Engineer or Technical Coordinator within a heat treatment, foundry, steelworks or castings environment.
Requirements:
1. Have knowledge of foundry and heat treatment techniques.
2. Excellent IT skills.
3. Have the ability to take on technical information.
4. Be competent working with an internal database.
5. Ability to learn and develop technical product knowledge.
6. Strong literacy skills.
7. Ability to work independently.
