We are looking for a committed Finance Manager to join our team; there is an option to hold this role in a full-time or part-time capacity, with a minimum of 3 days essential. We offer hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days (pro rata for part-time) to be worked in our Leeds City Centre office.
Key Accountabilities:
* Support the Head of Finance in the overall management of the financial and transactional activities of the Credit Union on a daily basis.
* Lead and develop the finance team to meet objectives and create a succession plan through their continuous development.
* Support with the ownership of premises management, including insurances, health and safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Ensure accuracy in day-to-day operations, including the management of the processing of member bank receipts, Direct Debit Processes, and bank reconciliations, ensuring they are balanced and up to date.
* Assist in all treasury functions.
* Take the lead on initial management account processes, including purchase ledger, end of month balances, and transaction reviews.
* Maintain the Cash ordering process and liaison with the provider.
* Monitor software links with Barclays and faster payment batches, ensuring that all transactions are made in a timely manner.
* Ensure that all petty cash is balanced and signed off correctly every month.
* Liaise with Internal and External Auditors and assist with implementing recommendations.
* Support the introduction of new products and delivery of organisation-wide projects.
* In collaboration with the Leadership Team, drive collaboration across all areas of the business and strive for success.
Person Specifications:
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant finance qualification (AAT / CIMA / QBE etc.) desirable or relevant experience essential.
* Previous experience in financial services is essential, with experience with credit unions advantageous.
* Previous experience in leading a team.
* Customer-facing experience, handling queries and complaints.
* Comfortable in using a range of databases and programs.

Pay: Up to £38,000.00 per year
