We are working with an automotive manufacturer, who have a Performance Systems Integration Engineer vacancy, on a 12-month contract based in their Cambridgeshire manufacturing site.
The main function of a Systems Engineer is to research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes. This includes the end-to-end definition of the performance system for an industrial power system.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Review and approve sampling procedures and designs, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
2. Review and supervise programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
3. Conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
4. Specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
5. Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
6. Plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
7. Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical.
8. Manage quality control program.
Education / Experience / Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
2. Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), with Matlab / Simulink, and Office 365 experience.
3. Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
4. Team player and detail-oriented.
5. Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
6. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Role: Performance Systems Engineer
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Duration: 12 months +
Rate: PAYE £27.22 per hour + holiday and pension.
Hours: 8:30am to 4:45pm Mon - Thur & 8:30am to 16:15 Fri. Minimum 3 days no site.
