Job title: Principal Engineer – Combat Systems

Salary: Up to £52,300 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Provide dedicated technical guidance and support across the Combat Systems teams
* Maintaining effective partnerships with a wide variety of Internal and External stakeholders including customers, and other internal technical teams
* Contributing to a team based working environment, deputising for Engineering Manager when required
* Identifying and prioritising tasks towards an agreed overall objective
* Innovating when defining solutions to minimise project risk and maximise likelihood of successful implementation
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Understanding and experience with the Physical integration of a complex project
* Significant experience of Physical and Functional integration of a combat system within a Naval Environment
* Understanding of System Engineering design Lifecycle within a Naval Environment
Desirable:
* Has acted as a SME within a Combat Systems Complex Integration Project
* Has worked in a fast-paced environment using SME knowledge to solve challenges to keep the project on track

The River Class Destroyer Combat Systems team:
This team is responsible for physically integrating the Combat Systems into the design. As a Principal Engineer, you will have the skills and experience to support the combat systems team through the Zonal Review process. This requires collaboration across the combat systems team, managing technical issues and providing technical support. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills & knowledge but also further develop them.
