This role will be responsible for managing the whole payroll collation, submission and reporting process ensuring employees are paid. What You’ll Do: Ensure that the company maintains appropriate corporate governance and that statutory and regulatory reporting standards are maintained and complied with. Take ownership for the reconciliation and review of the various balance sheet reconciliations, period end control accounts and facilitate the period end checklist efficiently and accurately Manage all aspects of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with CAPEX request process, updating and maintaining the fixed asset register, depreciation and carrying out annual impairment reviews. Lead the financial accounting and reporting to Group on a monthly basis (Tagetik) and the statutory accounts at year end, including preparation of the statutory and tax pack submissions to Group. Assist in the preparation of all other statutory requirements including VAT submissions, Corporation tax and Income tax, Payment Practices and Gender Pay reporting. Responsible for managing the accurate collation of payroll data for submission to the payroll bureau for processing and payment. Includes administration of pensions, healthshield, childcare vouchers, AOE and P11ds. Oversee cash management, including weekly cashlow forecasts and ensure the bank mandate is up-to-date and in line with company requirements. Interface with internal and external auditors to ensure that all relevant and necessary information is provided to ensure the satisfactory completion of any internal audits and the annual statutory audit. Assist and support in preparation of robust financial forecasts and business plans, specifically in relation to staff costs and balance sheet. Responsible for accurate mapping and uploading of the forecasts into Tagetik in-line with Group deadlines. Ensure compliance with the Arriva internal controls system and assist with the completion of Tax CMS and ICS annual self-assessments. Full job description available on request What You Bring: Qualifications – Minimum Part Qualified in ACCA/ CIMA with strong financial skills Experience – previous experience working within a similar position. I.T Knowledge – Excellent I.T skills including MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word) and SAP B1 accounting software Skills – ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and carry out assignments with strong attention to detail Driving licence – with the ability to travel to ATC depots if required.
