Outpatients Deputy Nurse Manager for University Hospital Lewisham
Are you dynamic, motivated and able to inspire and lead change? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to further develop their clinical and leadership skills as a Band 6 Deputy Nurse Manager for General Outpatients.
This post encompasses leadership and managerial skills and is an ideal opportunity for a senior Band 6 RGN to provide leadership to the Outpatient Nursing Team and support to the Nurse Manager.
You will need to be a methodical, hardworking, flexible and creative employee, who responds well to challenges. Excellent communication skills are essential to this post.
Responsibilities include:
1. To provide leadership, guidance and support to all nursing staff within the clinical area, and continuous quality care to a specified group of patients.
2. To take responsibility for the management and co-ordination of the clinical area in conjunction with and in the absence of the OPD Manager.
3. To provide support and expertise in the assessment, planning and evaluation of all patient care within the medical, surgical and orthopaedic setting.
4. To assist in the budgetary management, training and development of staff to provide high quality care which is evidence-based.
