Your new company is a market leading manufacturer in Lancaster. This is a number 1 role, reporting into the Managing Director.
Your new role
1. Preparation and reporting of weekly/monthly management accounts with appropriate variance analysis and commentary to explain performance.
2. Manage and lead existing finance team.
3. Control income/expenditure within the business, ensuring that costs are in line with budget.
4. Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
5. Communicate and interpret financial data to non-financial managers.
6. Maintain, develop, and implement financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
7. Manage relationship with auditors.
8. Management of relationships with external consultants regarding all tax obligations.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
2. Strong background in accounting and financial management, with good understanding of reporting procedures and record-keeping.
3. Strong written, verbal communication and people skills - ability to manage and influence stakeholders and present financial information to non-financial colleagues.
4. Line management experience.
5. Proven experience within a similar senior level role.
6. Advanced Excel skills.
