DG Solutions are a large Dangerous Goods Support and Training organisation across the UK and into Europe.
DGS are a young and dynamic organisation that work with many clients from micro-businesses to large multinationals, helping them with all aspects of advice, support, and training for the logistics and shipping of chemicals, batteries, radioactives, and explosives.
Due to our expansion, we are looking for an additional Dangerous Goods Consultant for our field team. This role is our primary customer-facing role, where as an employed consultant, you'll be required to deliver training courses, undertake auditing, and generally assist our clients with any Dangerous Goods queries they may have.
This role is a trainee role which will be pitched at the level of the successful applicant and normally involves a 6-12 month training period, based on prior experience and knowledge. Being DGSA qualified is not mandatory but will be advantageous, as will holding a UK CAA Instructor qualification.
Candidates who do not hold these current and valid certifications should still apply if they have strong Dangerous Goods industry experience, as these certifications can be provided and obtained during the initial training period. Industry experience and being the right fit for the team will be equally weighted by us.
As the main point of contact for our clients, an excellent customer service attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team is critical to ensure service excellence to our clients at all times.
This role will be based from home with a 50/50 split between home work and travelling nationally and internationally, as required (during the training period, the national travel will be higher than once qualified to facilitate training and shadowing).
This role will suit someone who is friendly, professional, has a high level of accuracy, and enjoys finding solutions to any issues that we face. All training on the technical and systems aspects of the role will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is confident and knows how to help our clients best.
