This organisation is a public sector body based in Co. Antrim, which has a large estate spanning several acres over a number of locations with a range of buildings varying in ages. Due to internal promotions, they have an immediate requirement for an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to assist their estates department on long term temporary basis.
Your new role
This is a temporary position for an anticipated duration of 6 months based in either Antrim / Newtownabbey working Monday to Friday hours per week.
As an M&E Project Manager, you will work as a member of the Operational Engineering Team within the Estate Division and have responsibility across a range of disciplines to assist in ensuring the satisfactory delivery of minor works projects currently defined as projects up to approximately £30K from inception topletion. You will assist the Operational Engineering teams in the full range of their duties and responsibilities, as directed by the Engineering Sector Manager.

What you'll need to succeed
To be suitable for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
University Degree in a Mechanical, electrical or Building Services related discipline Plus 1 year’s project management experience in the design; construction or management of buildings within the last 5 years
OR
HND/HNC a Mechanical, electrical or Building Services related discipline plus 4 years project management experience in the design; construction or management of buildings within the last 5 years.
You will be expected to demonstrate:
1. Knowledge of the role of a Project Manager.
2. Knowledge of different procurement routes such as Measured Term Contracts etc.
3. Knowledge of various methods to prepare budget estimates and management of accounts for projects.
4. Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
5. Knowledge of building design, to current statutory standards and codes of practice.
6. Knowledge of building procurement.
Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment
What you'll get in return
This position offers an immediate start paying a salary in the range of £33,000 - £41,000 pro rata.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, hours per week.
37 days annual leave including statutory days pro rata.
Anticipated duration of 6 months.
Paid weekly via BACS transfer
