Job Description
STATEMENT OF JOB:
The Transportation Concierge will provide safe transportation services to residents of the community.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Policies/Procedures/Administration
* Provide van transportation to the residents on a scheduled basis and for special trips sponsored through the activity department.
* Assist in developing routes and schedules based on resident needs and requests.
* Keep appropriate records. Maintain mileage log, repair log, trip and expenses as required.
* Keep receipts for expenses and submit them to Life Enrichment Director.
* Keep van clean inside and out. Ensure routine maintenance and needed repairs are performed in a timely manner.
* Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor and Harmony Senior Services immediately.
* Maintain a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the department.
* Attend all required in-services and staff meetings.
* Complete all other duties as assigned.
Residents:
* Assist residents on and off of the van.
* Ensure resident safety at all times.
* Follow confidentiality policies at all times regarding release of resident information.
Staff:
* Assist Activities/Programming Department with activities as assigned.
Requirements:
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
* Must have a safe driving record and provide a copy of DMV record to Executive Director.
* Must have current driver's license designated to permit operating the type of vehicle used by the community.
* Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, co-workers and supervisor.
* Must be organized and willing to work with others as part of a team.
* Must be physically and mentally capable of performing job duties.
* Must be able to ascend and descend stairs frequently, operate a wheelchair lift, and push a resident in a wheelchair.
* Must be able to represent the residence in a professional manner with neat dress and courteous manner. May be required to wear designated uniform.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some weekend and evening hours.
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
