Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority, we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, driven, and committed staff to help us achieve that.
A Refugee Integration Officer is required to join the Resettlement Team. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, resilient, patient, and an empathetic worker that understands the needs of asylum seekers and refugees.
Working in a busy environment, the successful candidate will focus on supporting families who arrive through approved government resettled routes. Support includes integration and helping families participate fully in local community life, supporting their social and welfare needs, and assisting them in their journey to a new independent life in Britain.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of various HM Government Resettlement Schemes, Children’s Services, and the asylum process as well as experience of working in a fast-paced team. They will need to be practical, be prepared to be ‘hands-on’ when required, and very flexible in their approach to work.
This is a fixed term appointment.
