CHCP have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced podiatrist to come and join our existing established podiatry service. We are looking for an individual who wishes to progress their career and clinical skills and who has the skills and attributes required to work autonomously at band 6 level.
CHCP were one of the first tranche sites to introduce the National Wound Care Strategy Programme and have developed direct referral pathways to specialist services.
Main duties of the job
We require innovative clinicians who have excellent communication skills, resilience, and a passion to drive change within the podiatry profession. The role involves treatment of high-risk patients, diabetic and non-diabetic foot ulcers, complex home visits, and MSK podiatry intervention. There will also be a requirement to deliver preventative advice and guidance to patients and supervise other staff members and students. Individuals will be supported with their continuous professional development, with peer support and supervision and have opportunities to develop their leadership skills and participate in audit and research.
The core hours of the service are: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

* Postgraduate qualification in relevant specialist area or able to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge and experience
* Current HCPC professional registration

* Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, and guidance relevant to clinical and service area
* Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area
