Job summary Interview date to be communicated A highly experienced Doctor is required for the Vascular Surgery team here at UHCW, with Vascular Surgery experience equivalent to Senior Registrar level. UHCW is a busy major trauma centre serving Coventry and Warwickshire (1.2 million population) and beyond. We have a surgically led EVAR service with an active complex aortic programme (Fenestrated EVAR, TEVAR). We work closely with our cardiac surgeons and have monthly complex aortic MDTs. We have an active research programme and teach Warwick Medical Students as well as postgraduate doctors. As part of the role, there will be learning opportunities throughout the year in arterial, venous and endovascular surgery and opportunities for research projects. There will be active support to help the suitable candidate to achieve CCT as appropriate. There will also be some commitment to transplant surgery on-call only. The role will be full time, Monday to Friday with additional out-of-hours on-call activity at SpR level on the vascular/transplant rota (1:7), which attracts additional remuneration. Experience of vascular surgery is essential.
