We have ambitious plans for the coming years and we are on the hunt for a Corporate Lawyer to join our growing and talented Corporate and Commercial team.
You will be responsible for working independently and managing your own caseload while operating as part of a close-knit team when working on transactional matters. We are looking for a strong team player who will operate proactively across our business. We receive work from a variety of sources including repeat work from existing clients and professional contacts. Excellent client care skills are required.
The role will cover all aspects of work within the Corporate team, including corporate reorganisations, corporate governance and employee share schemes, but with a primary focus on corporate finance, M&A and private equity.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead teams of lawyers on small to mid-cap regional and national transactions, applying excellent project management and leadership skills.
Who we are looking for…
The successful candidate for this role will be a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years’ PQE with demonstrable recent development work experience.
The main attributes we look for, but are not limited to, are:
* Being pro-active in terms of managing your workload and continual development of your own legal skills.
* Assisting in managing the Corporate & Commercial team and the implementation of business and strategic initiatives.
* Possessing excellent organisation skills and having exceptional attention to detail.
* A proven ability to meet targets on a consistent basis.
* Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work and build relationships with both clients and the wider professional community.
* Being able to manage projects, lead teams and supervise the work of junior colleagues.
* Having an aptitude to develop your own career, the Corporate department and the wider firm.
