IT Support Engineer (2nd Line) West Bromwich (3 days a week in the office) - commutable from Birmingham, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Oldbury, or Stafford Up to £32,000 per annum A growing software company in West Bromwich are looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join the team. This business support other businesses with building cloud-based and on-premise applications for various industries. They have been going for more than 20 years. Key Responsibilities: Provide 2nd line support for IT infrastructure issues, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network problems. Implement and manage system upgrades, patches, and configurations. Document technical procedures, configurations, and solutions for future reference. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT infrastructure aligns with business goals and objectives. Provide excellent customer service and support to internal stakeholders. Key Requirements: Proven experience in an IT infrastructure role, with a focus on 2nd line support. Strong understanding of Active Directory and it's components. Experience with WIndows Server (2016 or later) Experience with network administration. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
