In addition to the work specified of the aircraft mechanic classification it also includes performing skilled work in operations such as troubleshooting, disassembly, checking, cleaning, repairing, testing, replacing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, taxiing or towing aircraft, fabricating, and/or run-up engines, maintaining the airworthiness of aircraft and all of their components while in service or undergoing overhaul and/or modification.
What you'll do
* Certifies for the quality of own workmanship, including signing mechanical flight releases for all work done on field work.
* Chase own parts if stock chasers are not maintained and/or available.
* May have other aviation maintenance personnel assigned to assist in completing an assignment.
* Works according to FAA, company regulations, procedures and instructions from supervisor.
* Completes forms connected with work assignments in accordance with established procedures.
* Communicates with other company personnel as required in a manner designated by the company.
* Performs additional duties such as cleaning aircraft windshield, connecting/removing ground power and ground start units, and pushing out/towing of aircraft.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
* Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and understand English.
* Valid driver’s license.
* FAA Airframe and power plant license and/or equivalent (EASA or UK).
* Large aircraft experience - Widebody is preferred, especially B777 & B787.
* Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days-off.
* Right to live and work in the UK without restriction.
