Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Level 1 with current NMC Registration. Recognised nursing qualification at degree level.
* Recognised continence/bladder and bowel health qualification or training. Assessor and supervisory trained.
Experience
* Significant clinical experience in bladder and bowel health at a senior level.
* Experience of clinical leadership and supporting others to deliver high quality care.
* Significant experience of working in the community, primary care setting or acute. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Knowledge
* Knowledge on bladder and bowel dysfunction and its management.
* Leadership and managerial ability to run the service.
Skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Ability to manage complex clinical cases.
* Ability to assess risk and to work effectively with colleagues to address them in a timely manner.
* Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Other Requirements
* IT user skills, including Microsoft Office applications and the use of electronic patient records system.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to work and travel within geographical area of service. A car driver or has access to own transport.
* Open to exploring new, evidence-based ways of working with the aim of delivering care and services in line with the NHS forward plan.
