The school, based in York, is a mainstream school with two dedicated class bases to support those pupils with ALN and physical needs, and prides themselves on creating a safe and happy learning environment. The ideal candidate will be supported with relevant training, however we do seek those who have a previous background working with children and young people who have Additional Learning Needs, whether this is personal experience or based within an educational setting. The Role: Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs in all daily tasks. Help Prepare the classroom for lessons. Adapt resources to suit each pupils needs. Engage and support the pupils learning. Adapt to any situations that may arise. Caring for children’s physical, emotional, and social welfare with may include personal care.
