Job Overview Senior Physiotherapist in Trauma and Orthopaedics We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 physiotherapist to join our rotational trauma and orthopaedic team. The post holder will rotate between the Royal Gwent, Nevill Hall and Grange University hospital, covering both elective and trauma caseloads. The successful applicant will be a clinician who has breadth of experience in the inpatient setting and specific experience within trauma and orthopaedics. The post holder will work as part of a 7 day rota. Main duties of the job We are looking for a forward-thinking clinician with the skills to combine specialist clinical practice with innovation. You will be committed to following best practice and speciality guidelines with the promotion of high-quality physiotherapy services. The successful post holder needs to be flexible, motivated, and committed to put the patient’s strengths, voice, choice and control at the centre of any interventions. You will have demonstrable leadership qualities, excellent communication and time management skills with proven abilities to build networks across sites and disciplines. You will work alongside a clinical specialist and the Clinical Lead physiotherapist to develop your skills, knowledge and experience across the four pillars of practice. The successful applicant will be actively involved in the education, supervision and mentoring of more junior staff and physiotherapy undergraduate students. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
