We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to take charge of marketing for our Hydrogen Technology Portfolio, driving the growth of our B2B conferences and exhibitions in Hamburg, Houston, and emerging markets. THE ROLE: As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering effective marketing strategies to promote our events and digital assets to visitors, delegates, and exhibitors. Working closely with the Event Director and other key stakeholders, you will ensure that our marketing campaigns achieve measurable success and contribute to the continued growth of the portfolio. Key responsibilities include: Strategy and Campaign Management: Work with the Event Director and team to create and execute marketing strategies, positioning, and key messaging. Deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns, monitor their performance, and provide regular reporting to ensure KPIs are met. Creative and Content Development: Manage the design and production of marketing materials, including updating existing assets and creating new materials to align with campaign objectives. Partner with the Content Lead to align marketing and content strategies and plan the delivery of event apps and virtual/hybrid propositions. Sales and Audience Development: Collaborate with the sales team to create impactful sales campaigns targeting new client acquisition and increased client retention. Develop strategic audience development plans and ensure that marketing communications reflect key event messaging and positioning. Digital Marketing and Social Media: Devise and deliver effective digital marketing strategies, supported by our internal digital strategist. Oversee social media and community-building strategies to enhance engagement, interaction, and brand affinity. Data and Reporting: Manage databases, list segmentation, and reporting with support from the business intelligence and data teams. Provide accurate and timely reports on key marketing statistics and forecasts. Event Marketing and PR: Plan and manage the visitor registration process and develop attendee/delegate pricing strategies. Lead PR strategy, including managing press lists, inviting press, and developing media relations across all channels. Budget and Financial Oversight: Manage marketing budgets, handle purchase orders, and liaise with Finance on reporting requirements. ABOUT YOU We’re looking for someone with creativity, energy, and the drive to deliver exceptional results. You will be a confident communicator and strategic thinker with a proven track record in marketing within the energy or events industry. Key attributes and skills: Essential Skills and Experience: Strong English writing skills, with the ability to craft industry-specific, compelling copy. Experience in creating detailed marketing plans and delivering impactful campaigns. Knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads) and experience implementing successful digital marketing strategies. Proficiency in CRM, CMS platforms, email marketing, and automation software. Familiarity with data protection regulations and ensuring compliance in email marketing and data sharing. Personal Attributes: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Commercial acumen and the ability to develop sales-led marketing initiatives. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Confidence to network and build strong relationships with people from all walks of life.
