Contracts Director - Construction - Remote with Travel - Paying up to £100,000 About Us As Contracts Director for our Construction team, your purpose will be to obtain best value through our contracts, defend value post contract award and build relationships with the Supply Chain. Working with the Project Directors, you'll provide advice and guidance on all commercial matters, supporting the project teams in delivering the capital plan and build and foster a team of commercial experts. You'll deal with escalated commercial queries, advise project teams on contract strategy and provide updates on performance to various business forums. You'll gather data to inform the long-term supply chain strategy and meet with Contractors to discuss issues, opportunities and future strategy (CIMs). As an experienced Contracts Director, you'll have in-depth contract and commercial experience. You'll also have significant experience in contract and cost management. You'll be managing a team of 6-8 people, therefore strong leadership skills is essential. You'll have the ability to build external relationships, be a proven negotiator and have knowledge of the construction market. It would also be great if you had NEC understanding and experience in successful resolution of disputes. As we have a national portfolio, some travel will be part of the job. Most weeks you will be traveling (approx. 2-3 days a week) to our head office in Warwick or other sites across the UK. Therefore, it’s essential you hold a full UK driving licence.
