About this Head of Finance job opportunity: As our new Head of Finance, you’ll lead our finance team, develop and grow your staff, and together, make a real difference in enabling the council to deliver for the community. You will provide strategic financial guidance and direction to support the council’s ambitious goals and objectives. You will lead, inspire and manage a talented and dedicated finance team, fostering a collaborative and high performing culture. You’ll oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate plan objectives within a challenging financial environment for local authorities. You will monitor and analyse financial performance, ensuring robust controls are followed and collaborate with stakeholders. The working pattern: Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. 37 hours per week. Permanent contract.
