To ensure that the working environments are in a suitable and safe condition to work in. Key Responsibilities WAREHOUSE DUTIES Floor cleaning (using scrubber driers for Warehouse floors) Cardboard Collecting and breaking cardboard down Baling cardboard using bailing machines Transporting bales to pre-load area Air-con – Regular cleaning of Warehouse air-con filters Toilets/Showers Daily deep clean of toilets Replenishment of consumables Regular clean of showers Canteen- Daily deep clean of canteen floor and kitchen area General Waste Emptying of the waste bin using external compactor Segregation of waste OFFICE DUTIES Cleaning of all Office areas, as per maintenance schedule Toilets Daily deep clean of toilets Replenishment of consumables Kitchen areas – Daily deep clean of two kitchens Waste collection and disposal EXTERNAL DUTIES Ensure high standards of housekeeping in all external areas of the site (yard, car park, loading bay, pier etc) Regular deep clean of the Security Cabin and Breakout Room Maintenance of grassed and shrub areas Gritting of walkways, fire exits etc in cold weather Personal attributes: Qualifications, experience, skills, knowledge and competencies required to fulfil the role Essential Good communication and organisational skills Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload Willingness to adopt a hands-on approach where necessary Good awareness of Health & Safety at work Time management skills Team working skills A practical and flexible approach to work Applicants should be aware that in line with our Drugs and Alcohol policy we reserve the right to conduct random drug and alcohol tests.
