The Wrekin Old Hall Trust is a thriving day and boarding school set within its own attractive and spacious grounds in Shropshire. Across Wrekin College and Old Hall we educate over 750 children from 4 – 19 years of age. We educate approximately 100 boarders. Our educational offer is holistic and is based around first-class pastoral care as well as an incredibly rich co-curricular programme and academic rigour.
This newly created senior role will be a key part of the senior leadership team, supporting the Headmaster to plan and deliver on ambitious strategic goals for the school. The role will have oversight of all Communication matters, line manage the Development Office and lead the development of Enterprise across the Trust.
The Trust has experienced teams in place across Marketing and Admissions. The appointee will take a strategic overview of these areas whilst supporting day-to-day practice. The role encompasses strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of all matters relating to Development and Enterprise.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of success at a senior level in a directly relevant area such as pupil/student marketing or recruitment, communications, public relations or development. Commercially aware and customer service orientated. You will need exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of staff, families, alumni and other stakeholders with empathy, tact and diplomacy. An understanding of UK day and boarding schools with an international element will be an advantage.
