General Manager
Up to £40,000 (DOE)
As a General Manager, you will enjoy getting the best out of people; you draw satisfaction from managing, training, and supporting your team. You will provide a professional catering service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met.
You will assist the Account Manager to ensure that your location achieves the financial targets agreed with the client in line with your site budget. Working with your Assistant Manager, you will monitor the work of all the staff, carry out appraisals, and recognize training needs and potential as appropriate.
You will hold team meetings regularly to communicate targets and achievements, ensuring we meet the standards required by the client. As a team, you will ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and that their food service and value expectations are consistently exceeded. You will ensure all Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Risk Assessments are conducted to maintain all standards and procedures in respect of Food, Hygiene, and Safety.
Overall Purpose of the Role
1. To be responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the contract to ensure great quality, consistent food and beverage services.
2. To maintain positive client relationships, ensuring we are true partners in their business.
3. To ensure the smooth planning of the contract and resources to deliver a first-class food and beverage service to our clients and customers.
4. To be responsible for the management, recruitment, development, and training of team members.
5. To ensure the contract is fully compliant with company policies and procedures.
6. To deliver on the agreed financial budget and run commercially in line with net income and cost targets.
You will ensure that your location achieves the financial targets agreed with the client in line with your site budget. Working with your Operations Manager, you will monitor the work of all the staff, carry out appraisals, identify training needs, and ensure we meet the standards required by the client.
As a team, you will ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and that their food service and value expectations are consistently exceeded. You will ensure all Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Risk Assessments are conducted to maintain all standards and procedures in respect of Food, Hygiene, and Safety.
As the General Manager, you will ideally have a successful background in Contract Catering/Hospitality/Retail Catering, using your entrepreneurial skills to create a thriving and successful working environment. You possess excellent management and communication skills, have a good understanding of report writing and financial management, and can demonstrate your analytical approach to problem-solving. You will have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service and be financially and commercially astute.
