Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
Kingswood Vets, Woking, South East
Discipline: Small Animal
Full Time
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our Kingswood team.
Find a place to grow
We offer a good mix of consults and theatre time but are happy to flex to suit the right candidate. This role could suit a consult-only vet or someone pursuing a certificate.
We are looking for someone to cover 29 hours per week, plus 1:2 Saturday morning. We are genuinely flexible about how the hours are split and are happy to discuss flexible working patterns to suit you. There is no OOH or bank holiday work.
Our Exceptional Practice
Kingswood Vets is a well-established local practice in Woking, and we moved to a new purpose-built hospital premises in 2018. We have 4 consult rooms, 2 theatres, dental and imaging rooms, separate dog and cat wards and all the usual toys including tonopen, slit lamp, surgical diathermy, and digital dental x-ray with plenty of time to work up cases with support available if needed. We have a really good mix of well-insured clients wanting gold standards plus RSPCA and other charity work.
Discover a workplace that supports you
We are a team of 10 Veterinary Surgeons (6.5 FTE), 10 Nurses (8.5 FTE, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 3 Student Veterinary Nurses) with an amazing support team of 12 who do all the hard work to keep the practice running smoothly. We have a surgery certificate holder, a dental vet, an imager, and a vet partway through an ophthalmology certificate plus a visiting cardiologist and orthopaedic surgeon to learn from. The rota is organised to allow dedicated time for admin so we can ensure we have the time needed to work up cases and provide the excellent care our clients deserve.
