Job summary This role matters: We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who is compassionate and driven to make a difference to patients and their loved ones at a difficult time in their lives. As a Healthcare Assistant at Barnsley Hospice In-patient Unit (IPU), you'll be supporting patients, families and loved ones in their time of greatest need. We provide free specialist palliative care and support to patients with life limiting illness whilst offering vital emotional support for their loved ones. This will require you to be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals, both verbally and in writing; to share our commitment to maintaining high standards in everything we do; and to demonstrate that you can work effectively within a team that behaves in accordance with our values. The role is varied and busy as you will be working a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. The role offers up to 25 hours.
