Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing care and support to children, ensuring their well-being and development. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a passion for working with children. A driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation as needed.
Responsibilities
1. Provide high-quality support and care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
3. Engage with children in various activities that promote learning and development.
4. Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
5. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and any incidents that may occur.
6. Drive to various locations as required for activities or appointments related to the children's care.
7. Collaborate with other team members to create a supportive environment for both children and families.
Experience
1. Previous experience in childcare or working with children is essential.
2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children and families.
3. Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and reporting is advantageous.
4. Experience in developing or following care plans will be beneficial.
5. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; however, the ability to travel is important.
