Are you a hands-on Operations Manager, from within a Transport environment holding an International CPC? We are looking for someone like you.Were currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to be based at our site in Hanley for our contract with Fuchs. Youll be responsible for a long-standing contract, managing a team of 20, at the customer premises. Youll oversee the safe, compliant and accurate delivery of Fuchs products, across Monday to Friday with some flexibility. Pay, benefits and more: Were looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. The role is a developmental role alongside the strategic aims of the business and so the ideal candidate will be looking for continual development, with future progression in mind from the offset. What youll do on a typical day: Full operational, budgetary and H&S responsibility for site and contract Play an active role in developing the contract team, aligned with strategic aims of business Direct and indirect line management of a small office team (c. 4 5 colleagues) Ensure compliance with policies, standard operating procedures, and all relevant legislation including upholding Operators Licence undertakings. Support the General Manager in delivering agreed plans and budgets, maintaining established levels of service and quality. What you need to succeed at XPO: Its important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced Transport environment no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet Logical thinking and excellent communication skills (internal and external) Knowledge of Open and Closed book contracts and shared user / LTL pallet networks Experience of working in a unionised environment International CPC essential Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a transport environment Every day youll need to have an eye on continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and fleet performance - do you have a track record of improving things?
