Small Animal Cardiologist, Veterinary Specialists Scotland, near Edinburgh. Cardiology Service position available.
Veterinary Specialists Scotland is a purpose-built, multi-disciplinary referral centre in the heart of Scotland. Our building has huge potential for expansion and the clinic is still growing and developing. We have opportunity for a position within the cardiology service, full time or part time will be considered.
You will be supported by an established team of internal medicine specialists, as well as anaesthetists, soft tissue surgeons, diagnostic imagers, neurologists, orthopaedic surgeons, an ECC Specialist, and a dermatologist.
The busy cardiology case load is varied and includes both external referrals and internal case transfers. We have a well-equipped cardiology suite and the capacity to perform cardiac interventional procedures with state-of-the-art equipment and a team of nurses to support these procedures.
We are happy to consider applications from already recognised specialists or from candidates who have successfully completed an approved residency programme or certificate holder. The team's core values are excellence in care, for patient, client, colleague and referring vet, and we place a strong emphasis on team and collaborative working. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach and one who shares this ethos to help make VSS a supportive, stimulating and enjoyable place to practise veterinary medicine and surgery to the highest standard.
