JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Facilities Manager and working closely with the Supply Chain Coordinator and Customer Relations Administrator, the Hub Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day supervision of the distribution hub and driver colleagues based at the site. The role will be responsible for ensuring that Medical Gases and devices are received, accounted for, and delivered to FMG customers in a safe and timely manner.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• To drive safely and in full compliance with the Highway Code and other relevant legislation and Flogas procedures.
• To protect the reputation of FMG by always driving courteously and with regard for other road users.
• To maintain a driving license as required by law for the type of vehicle driven.
• To comply with maximum weight limits applicable to each individual vehicle driven and ensure load security and safety.
• Have knowledge of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods regulations that govern the products carried.
• Have Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) awareness.
• Carry out vehicle checks and maintain each vehicle with regard to serviceability as directed by the vehicle lease company.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained in terms of cleanliness both inside and outside.
• To select the correct product for delivery to/collection from FMG customers.
• Ensure job cards and products are allocated to the correct driver for delivery/collection.
• Complete daily stock sheets and delivery documentation accurately and scan all products at point of delivery/collection.
• Treat faulty or suspect products correctly and in line with FMG procedures with due regard for safety.
• Undertake training as required in the use of a counterbalance Forklift Truck.
• Communicate with colleagues, co-ordinate holiday requests and plan cover as required, hold regular team meetings to identify issues and escalate as required to ensure an efficient operation.
• Local driver management including completion of overtime sheets.
• Plan the delivery of additional distribution requests within the team.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures including Health & Safety legislation ensuring colleagues comply with these requirements.
• Carry out audits/site surveys and service visits at FMG customer premises.
• Maintain local site notice boards with company requirements, first aid provision, etc.
• Assist with the recruitment and interview process for new driver colleagues.
• Assist with the timely completion of insurance paperwork for vehicle accidents/damage in conjunction with FMG Supply Chain co-ordinator.
• Assist with the training of new starters and ensure refresher training is carried out in a timely manner.

JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENTS
Good IT skills in the use of Microsoft Office, especially strong using Excel application.
Ability to prioritise, act on own initiative working within deadlines.
Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and customers.
Essential Qualifications
Math’s & English GCSE or equivalent.
UK driving licence, Eligibility to work in the UK.
Experience
Essential - Previous experience in a similar role.
