The Facilities Department is seeking a dynamic and proactive Reception Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Facilities Reception team in Sutton. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a world-renowned organisation committed to pioneering advancements in cancer care.
As a key part of the Trust’s Facilities department, you will play a critical role in supporting our patients, staff, and visitors by ensuring the delivery of seamless, professional, and responsive reception services. You’ll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and innovation, upholding our steadfast commitment to exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support Facilities Reception teams primarily based at Sutton, ensuring high-quality service to all stakeholders. Flexibility to work in Chelsea may be required.
• Oversee staff performance, training, and development, fostering a supportive and positive work environment.
• Ensure operational resilience through effective planning, staffing, and task prioritisation.
• Manage administrative processes related to reception services, including key management, ID pass issuance, and accommodation and locker allocation.
• Support emergency preparedness and continuity of operations, including major incident response.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the NHS or healthcare setting.
• Proven supervisory experience, including team leadership and workload management, across multiple sites.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving needs.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• IT proficiency, particularly in Excel and database management.

• Responsible for staff supervision of all members of reception teams at both sites and oversight of their daily work patterns. Proactively manage team performance, all HR issues, staff sickness, annual leave, objective setting, risk assessment, training and development and appraisals ensuring these are in line with the Trust processes and procedures.
• Responsible for department cover between the hours of 07.00 — 19:00 Monday – Friday Sutton.
• To ensure that each member of the Reception Team staff are following the correct procedures for issuing of master keys, security codes and ld. passes for internal staff, locums and contractors.
• Inputs, verifies and signs off (as appropriate) monthly manpower returns.
• Ensures all Department functions have adequate resources for service levels to be maintained, distributing workload fairly, using own judgment to prioritize where necessary.
• Assists with the recruitment process for new staff, ensuring new recruits meet the requirements of the job description.
