As an integrated mental health, learning disability and community Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including:
1. Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.
2. Specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
3. Community physical health and well-being services for children and adults.
This is an exciting opportunity to come and work in a senior clinical role within a well-performing, dynamic and compassionate community perinatal team. This is a Maternity Leave fixed term opportunity until Jan 2026. Main duties of the job
Providing advanced clinical expertise, judgement and care planning as part of an excellent Multi-disciplinary team. The role holder will have the opportunity to work autonomously to provide the best standard in care provision. Promoting recovery-based care programmes and setting high standards for the delivery of care to service users and their families and be responsible for delivering high quality perinatal services.
Person specification
Education
* MSc Advanced Clinical Practice
* First degree in Registered Health profession
* Registered Practitioner
* Evidence of professional updating and development in the delivery of service to people with mental illness.
Knowledge
* In-depth knowledge of a range of approaches to perinatal mental health assessment and of psychosocial interventions.
* Confident in the delivery of care to service user group.
* Skilled in delivering evidence-based practice for patients who self-harm or attempt suicide.
Experience
* Significant experience of risk assessment and management and its application practice.
* Detailed understanding of relevant legislation e.g. Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act and its application to an Acute Hospital setting.
