Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager for a leading aviation client in Kent.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a quality-focused professional to lead continuous improvement initiatives and maintain the highest standards in aerospace quality management.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards and manage a comprehensive quality management system.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key quality standards, including AS9100D, CAA Part 21G, CAA Part 145, and EASA Part 145 (third country approval).
* Review, update, and release quality standards, procedures, and specifications.
* Monitor compliance to ensure all quality procedures align with applicable regulations.
* Document changes to quality procedures and track them through to approval.
* Manage monthly KPI reports for each department for senior management review.
* Lead non-conformance investigations and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
* Work with external regulators, surveyors, and customers to address findings and submit corrective actions.
* Coordinate and manage external audits across departments to ensure timely completion.
* Engage with suppliers to meet quality standards, including conducting on-site audits and bi-annual evaluations.
* Manage non-conformances using the 8D process (where applicable).
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives and conduct regulatory training for staff.
* Update and maintain the internal audit schedule and conduct audits as required.
* Attend meetings with top management to provide updates on quality matters.
* Review and approve essential quality documentation, including FAIs, NCs, and concessions.

* A drive for continuous improvement in systems and processes is essential.
* Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
* Strong data analysis and statistical skills are required.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a conscientious and diligent approach are necessary.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in aerospace quality is required.
* Relevant quality qualifications are preferred.
* Lead auditor qualification is preferred.
Salary
$70,000 - $90,000 per year
Based on industry standards and location, this salary range is estimated.
