Events Assistant

We’re looking for an Events Assistant to support the planning and execution of The PIE Live conferences, The PIEoneer Awards, and adhoc bespoke events for clients, helping us create impactful experiences for our global audience.

Play your part in our team’s success
As an Events Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting The PIE’s event portfolio. You’ll work closely with the Events team to ensure our conferences and awards run seamlessly, providing administrative support across all aspects of event planning and delivery.
Core responsibilities
* Assist with setting up and maintaining The PIE’s event technology platforms (Cvent & Evessio) for The PIE Live and other events.
* Support the team with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth delivery of all events.
* Provide administrative support to sponsors and exhibitors across our full event portfolio.
* Assist with the full awards cycle, including managing entries, liaising with sponsors, coordinating judging rounds, and preparing for the live show.
* Manage team logistics, including booking flights, hotels, dinner reservations, and travel authorisations for both PIE events and industry conferences.
* Assist with the planning and delivery of bespoke client events.
* Handle general administrative tasks, including:
* Ticketing administration and responding to attendee queries.
* Managing awards entrant queries.
* Preparing visa invitation letters.
* Data management and reporting.
* Drafting communications for attendees, speakers, and sponsors.
Do you have what it takes?
Essential skills & experience
* First-class organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks across multiple events
* Excellent copywriting skills for updating website content and event communications
* Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills
* Proven customer service experience - this is a client-facing role
* Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new tech platforms quickly
Desirable skills & experience
* Experience working in events or a related industry
* Familiarity with event technology platforms such as Cvent or Evessio
* Previous experience managing sponsor and exhibitor relationships
