Job Title: Senior Accountant - VAT
Location: Manchester (four days in the office)
Rate: Competitive, based on experience
Job Purpose: Join our client's finance team, supporting entities across Europe. This role involves ensuring VAT compliance, preparing and submitting VAT returns, conducting VAT reconciliations, and advising on VAT-related matters. You'll work with a global team and interact with senior management, gaining insights into key business issues and supporting new initiatives.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns promptly
2. Ensure compliance with local and international VAT regulations
3. Reconcile VAT accounts and resolve discrepancies
4. Provide guidance on VAT implications for business transactions
5. Review and improve VAT processes to enhance efficiency
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification preferred or demonstrable experience
2. Experience in VAT accounting and compliance
3. Strong knowledge of European VAT laws and regulations
4. Experience with major ERP systems (Oracle Cloud preferred)
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate successfully with team members and stakeholders
