Finally, your physical wellness is well-catered for with our onsite gym facilities and medical centre The Team: The Enterprise Credit and Global Banking Risk team based in London is part of the EMEA Enterprise Credit Risk function with operations in London, Dublin and Paris. You will part of a 2nd line risk function providing challenge and oversight to the 1st line of defence. Role Description: You will have primary responsibility for credit approval and therefore is accountable for overall portfolio performance and asset quality. The role involves handling a portfolio of European Corporates, Financial Institutions and Non-Banking Financial Institutions including Banks, Asset Managers, Funds, Insurance companies and Central Clearing Counterparties. You will partner with senior ECGBR colleagues to manage the portfolio and work with Enterprise Credit (‘EC’, 1st line of defence credit team) in supporting our European client base. Responsibilities: Reviewing credit proposals, new transactions, sanctioning exposure/limits for portfolio clients within appropriate risk parameters under delegated authority; risk types covered include lending, structured funding trades, RCFs, FX, derivatives, repo, GTS facilities. Providing feedback to GCIB Credit/GMC (Enterprise Credit) on new client/transaction screenings in order to influence outcomes in line with credit risk appetite, including appropriate transactions structures. Identify and monitor top down emerging risk trends within the portfolio and devise action plans for mitigation where appropriate. Build and maintain portfolio-level reporting routines which cover key movements in portfolio sensitivities, exposure changes and credit rating migrations. Involvement in regulatory deliverables and other ad-hoc legal entity tasks which require credit risk input. What we are looking for: Coverage responsibilities of a portfolio of European Corporates/FIs/NBFIs Experience with operating under delegated approval authority Solid familiarity with product suite, including loan and derivative products, and legal documentation (facility agreement, ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA) Experience of discussing complex structures with corporate and investment banking, sales and trading. Skills that will help: Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment in a variety of different situations; grasp of complex structures. Highly motivated individual with a passion for continued individual learning. Competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software for presentations.
