Maintenance Engineer needed in the Oldham Greater Manchester area for a hands-on role in a production facility. Candidates must come from a process or manufacturing background for a world-class automated manufacturer that is investing in their staff and machinery.

The Maintenance Engineer will work 12-hour days/nights and offers a salary of up to £56k plus pension, good holidays, and other perks.

Maintenance Engineer Duties:
1. Reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery across the whole site and process plant.
2. Working on project-related work to improve machinery and efficiency in a busy environment.
3. Fault finding on machinery and repair.
4. Experience working with pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.
5. Keep downtime to a minimum.
Requirements for Maintenance Engineer:
1. A formal engineering (mechanical or electrical) qualification to at least City & Guilds level 2, NVQ level 3, or equivalent with corresponding practical experience.
2. Good working knowledge of automated systems/production machinery.
3. Must come from a manufacturing background.
4. Proven mechanical or electrical experience.
The Maintenance Engineer role is commutable from Oldham, Lees, Middleton, Royton, Rochdale, Ashton Under Lyne, Droylsden, Stockport, Bolton, Glossop, Huddersfield, Halifax, Bury, Manchester, Wigan, Blackburn, Preston, and other parts of Lancashire, Yorkshire, and Greater Manchester.
