Position Overview
We are hiring for an exciting sales development position within Cigna's Global Health Benefits team, focusing on SME businesses within the UK market. The role involves expanding our presence among small and mid-market businesses, sourcing, and developing prospects to uncover highly qualified leads.
As an SDE, you will work closely with GHB Sales Managers to discover, nurture, and manage the SME sales funnel, develop key influencer relationships, and build an SME sales pipeline that translates into viable opportunities through broker meetings via face-to-face, telephone, or video conferencing.
You will be measured by SME opportunity generation and regional growth targets, focusing on progressing regional prospecting and leading growth campaigns. You will assume full responsibility for the end-to-end sales cycle for opportunities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about a career in sales and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent Cigna and raise awareness of our solutions by attending industry events and conferences such as BIBA, ABI, AMII, and general EB events to generate leads and establish broker relationships.
* Develop and expand the UK broker market by engaging with Cigna UK broker relationships, especially those not engaged with Cigna Healthcare Europe in the past three years.
* Enhance the profile of Cigna Global Health Europe in the UK.
* Liaise with key brokers to discuss, manage, and nurture the SME pipeline, ensuring opportunities follow through the sales cycle.
* Collaborate with Sales Managers to develop SME strategies for key broker partners.
* Manage quotations, ensuring internal processes and deadlines are met.
* Take responsibility for the entire sales cycle of SME prospects.
* Act as a subject matter expert on Global Medical products and value propositions, developing skills and knowledge of broker partners.
* Participate in internal and external meetings, including pitch presentations, to drive sales outcomes.
* Support regional marketing campaigns and events, working cross-functionally to raise awareness.
* Test and refine sales messaging, and execute go-to-market strategies with sales and marketing teams.
* Maintain accurate activity and lead data in Salesforce to ensure the sales cycle's success.
* Facilitate pipeline review meetings, collate data, and report on sales performance.
* Drive attendance at webinars and seminars, and set meetings for conferences.
* Visit offices in Glasgow/Greenock.
* Work closely with the team to identify new brokers.
KPIs
* Meet or exceed minimum quotas for meetings, visits, and purposeful meetings with outcomes.
* Achieve regional sales targets for GHB UK SME Medical products as set by management.
* Exceed productivity and quality standards.
Skills & Qualities
* At least 1 year of experience in face-to-face B2B sales.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
* Strong motivation to meet and surpass goals.
* Customer-focused with problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
* Flexible work approach.
* Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
* Experience in employee benefits, such as PMI or IPMI, is a plus but not essential.
