Salary: £28,000 – £30,000

Hays are delighted to be working with a well-known law firm in Leeds City Centre.
Your new role:
1. Coordinating administration of the Employment Commercial team including:
1. Diary management / arranging meetings
2. Coordinating team diaries and arranging travel
3. Opening of client files
4. Ensuring regular and efficient billing and monitoring retainer arrangements
5. Carrying out copying, archiving, organisation of client files and filing systems, including electronic filing
6. Making and receiving telephone calls, ensuring all calls are managed
7. Arranging couriers/deliveries
8. Dealing with invoices
9. Preparing monthly client billing, expense claims and general finance tasks
10. Maintaining database with client and contact details
11. Organisation of meetings, domestic and international travel, accommodation and attendance at external events and conferences
12. Developing good working relationships with both internal colleagues and external clients and contacts as required, promoting a positive working culture and environment
13. Working with teams, including in particular business development, in promoting the interests of business
14. Drafting correspondence and preparing standard documentation from audio/copy
15. Developing industry knowledge and attending training as may be necessary or desirable to assist in the performance of the role
What you’ll need to succeed:
1. Previous experience working in a legal environment
2. Willingness to travel and support at external events when required
3. Fast and accurate typing speeds
4. Previous experience using a case management system
5. Conversant in document formatting including track changes, auto-numbering and creating table of contents
6. Conversant in document version control
7. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Digital dictation and any other in-house systems in use throughout the firm
8. Proficient in diary management; meeting arrangements, telephone and email communication
