37.5 hours per week term time, plus mandatory INSET days and parents/open evenings
8.15am to 4.15 pm – some flexibility with working times will be required

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Head of Year to support the Head of Year for a named year group. The successful candidate will focus on pastoral care, engagement, attendance, and behaviour for learning strategies for young people in a specific year group.
We are looking for candidates who:
1. Can demonstrate skills in engaging, motivating and inspiring young people to learn;
2. Can promote self-esteem and encourage pupils to act independently;
3. Have skills in effective student-facing pastoral support;
4. Have an understanding of student attendance, punctuality and behaviour data to develop strategies in response to student needs;
5. Can communicate effectively and build relationships.

Candidates must be available to work:
Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 4.15pm (some flexibility in hours will be required) term time plus mandatory INSET days and parents/open evenings.
