Electrical Multi-Skilled Engineer
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to carry out PPM and Reactive Activities on a business park in Reading. Candidates will ideally be located in the Reading/Berkshire area. Applicants should have Domestic and Commercial Experience. The applicant would be expected to assist with various reactive and PPM tasks. Some installation work will be expected, although the core part of the role is maintenance. The role is predominantly Electrical bias with a strong multi-skilled background and experience in Building Services & HVAC. This is a hands-on role and would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and has a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required. We are looking for a conscientious and reliable team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as this is a client-facing role. The ability to plan and supervise their own workload, as well as produce quotes for additional works by obtaining materials costs and writing up a description of the works required, is essential.
Job Description/Duties:
1. Electrical PPM's and Reactive maintenance
2. Building Services tasks
3. Working as part of a maintenance team to deliver a great service to the client
Duties will include:
1. Electrical fault finding, wiring, emergency lights, power distribution, sockets, circuits
2. Belt changes, filter changes, and coil cleans on AHU's / FCU's
3. Boiler resets
4. Basic plumbing and fabric tasks
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (Or Equivalent)
2. C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred)
3. 18th edition
4. Strong Electrical & HVAC experience
5. Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
6. Knowledge of building fabric and experience in carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required
7. Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
8. Must be prepared to work out of hours when required
9. Have good communication and organizational skills
10. Have a positive 'can do' attitude
11. Ability to work on own or as part of a team
12. Participate in a call out rota
