JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Youth Engagement Officer Salary: £14.25 per hour (£27,788 per annum) Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Job role: The Youth Engagement Worker is responsible for supporting individuals or groups in their personal development and empowering them to reach their potential. This role will focus on identifying and leveraging the strengths and abilities of participants to enhance their social, emotional, and practical well-being. The Youth Engagement Worker will work closely with residents, community partners, and internal teams to design and implement strengths-based interventions and activities that promote positive change and self-sufficiency. In addition, monitoring and reviewing the progress of residents within the programme enabling them to Belong, Contribute and Thrive. Duties: Client Support and Development: Engage with individuals or groups to assess strengths, goals, and needs using a strengths-based approach. Develop and implement personalised plans to help individuals build on their strengths and achieve their desired outcomes. Provide one-on-one and group support, facilitating personal growth, resilience, and well-being. Encourage and empower participants to take an active role in their development. Strengths-Based Interventions: Use strengths-based tools, methods, and techniques to enhance residents’ engagement and positive outcomes. Work collaboratively with residents to identify resources and support networks within the community. Foster positive relationships with residents, promoting self-determination and confidence. Empower residents to take control of their lives by providing information, resources, and skills training. Support residents by co working with other housing staff, in developing life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and maintaining a home. Program Planning and Implementation: Contribute to the development, planning, and delivery of strengths-based programs and activities. Organise and facilitate group workshops, sessions, and activities that align with residents' needs and strengths. Monitor and evaluate program activities to ensure they are effective and aligned with residents’ goals. Collaboration and Partnerships: Build strong working relationships with external partners, community services, and other stakeholders to coordinate resident’s support. Advocate for participants and connect them with relevant services, resources, and opportunities. Work closely with team members to ensure consistent and holistic support for residents. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident’s interactions, progress, and outcomes. Prepare reports on the success of programs, resident achievements, and any challenges encountered. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with relevant data protection policies.
