About the Role We are looking for a skilled and driven Intermediate Construction Project Manager to join our team in London, specializing in data centre construction projects. As an Intermediate Project Manager, you will manage the day-to-day activities of the project, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality data centre builds on budget, to specification, and within safety standards. You will be working closely with the Senior Project Manager and other stakeholders, helping to manage both project teams and client relationships while ensuring the smooth execution of large-scale projects. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution: Assist in developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures for data centre construction projects. Oversee the execution of construction activities, ensuring the project progresses on time and within budget. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Team and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure effective communication and project coordination. Lead and direct site operations, ensuring all teams are aligned with project goals. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants, and suppliers. Site and Construction Management: Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations. Identify and resolve any site issues or challenges that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the project. Ensure all construction activities meet the required quality standards and comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Cost and Budget Control: Assist in managing project budgets, forecasts, and expenses to prevent cost overruns. Monitor and control project costs, helping to identify potential savings opportunities. Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management and clients. Risk Management: Assist in identifying and managing risks, helping to develop strategies to mitigate potential issues. Ensure compliance with contract terms and resolve any contractual disputes or claims. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, change orders, and meeting minutes. Support the preparation of reports, schedules, and documentation for project stakeholders. Provide input for project updates, financial forecasts, and performance reviews. Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in construction project management, ideally in data centres or other large-scale, technically complex projects. Proven track record of managing multiple projects or large parts of projects. Familiarity with construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT) and project management tools. Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and cost control. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
