Lead Senior Support Worker Location: Darlingotn Hours: 37.5 hours per week About the Role United Response is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Senior Support Worker to join our busy supported living service in Darlington. This position is pivotal in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals within the community, fostering their independence and well-being. You will use a digital app called Nourish to manage care and support plans for the people we serve. While experience with digital or mobile apps is desirable, full training will be provided Key Responsibilities Act as a key link between support staff and management, facilitating effective communication and operations. Manage the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring a smooth operation. Provide 1:1 support to individuals with complex needs, ensuring their emotional well-being is prioritized. Mentor and support junior staff, enhancing their skills and confidence. Address and resolve issues that arise during shifts, maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Promote person-centred support, enabling individuals to engage in activities they love. Accompany individuals on outings within the community, encouraging social interaction and integration. Essential Criteria Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care; NVQ Level 5 preferred. Previous experience in a senior support role. A valid Driving Licence. Familiarity with digital applications (experience with the Nourish app is a plus, but training will be provided). Qualities of a Successful Candidate Ability to balance the needs of the service, support workers, and individuals receiving care. Confidence in leading a team and inspiring trust in both staff and those supported. Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
